ST. CATHARINES - The No. 2 Brock women's volleyball team swept the Windsor Lancers 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17) to open the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Brock's trio of second-year outside hitters led the Badgers offence as
Madison Chimienti,
Laurin Ainsworth and
Sadie Dick each posted eight kills.
Chimienti added seven digs while Ainsworth recorded a .727 hitting percentage on 11 attempts and Dick tallied three blocks.
The defending provincial champion Badgers finished first in the league with a record of 18-2 and are looking forward to the semifinals.
"Our strength as a team is that whenever we have a dip in our play everyone comes together and has each other's backs," Chimienti said. "We've been working so hard with a target on our back's this season. We're each other's best friends and I think it's important that we have that strong team chemistry when things don't go our way."

Aleiah Torres led all players with eight digs.
Brock hit for .478 (38-6-67) while holding Windsor to a .162 (32-19-80) hitting percentage.
Up next, the Badgers will host the York Lions, who upset McMaster, on Saturday, March 4 at 6 p.m..
