The Badgers dropped their first round playoff match against the Mustangs.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Brock Badgers faced the Western Mustangs, falling just short in London by a score of 2-1 in Round 1 of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs.
Second-year defender Conrad Czarnecki scored for Brock in the playoff contest.
Taylor Miskolczi kept the Badgers in the game, making five saves.
Western took the lead in the 24th minute and eventually added to their lead in the 59th minute.
Czarnecki scored in the 79th minute to cut the Badgers' deficit to one, but Western held out in the end for the victory.
Ethan Miskolczi received the Badgers' lone yellow card in the match. Ennis Bernaus and Jon Lopez received yellow cards for the Mustangs.
Western outshot Brock with seven on target compared to Brock's four.
Brock ended the season with a 5-6-2 record, with their highest national U SPORTS rank coming in at No. 15 on Oct. 7.
