Brock battles in first round of OUA playoffs

The Brock Badgers men's soccer team's season has come to an end in a hard-fought defeat.
 
Matched up with the McMaster Marauders in the opening round of the OUA playoffs on Wednesday, Oct. 21, the Badgers fell by a score of 3-0 in Hamilton, Ont., eliminating them from the playoffs.
 
Brock initially fell behind in the 30th minute as McMaster tucked away a penalty shot to put the hosts ahead 1-0.
 
McMaster doubled their advantage in the 65th minute, before adding a third to close out the contest.
 
With the result, Brock has finished the year with an overall record of 5-8, between the regular season and the playoffs. Highlighted by a stretch of four straight victories throughout the middle of the regular season, the Badgers will look to take the positives from the year as their young core begin preparations for the 2027 campaign.
