The Brock Badgers women's soccer team battled toe-to-toe with the OUA West Division No. 2 seeded York Lions for 120 minutes.
In their OUA quarter-final match against the Lions in Toronto, Brock was defeated 2-1 in extra time on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The Badgers fell behind after half an hour, as the visitors were forced to play catch-up throughout the remainder of the contest.
Brock's patience and constant probing eventually paid off, as second-half substitute
Isabella Proud delivered in the clutch, tucking away her first career goal for the Badgers off an assist by
Kayleigh DiGirolamo in the 86th minute to level the match after regulation.
After a scoreless first fifteen minutes of extra time, the Lions snatched a winner in the 120th minute to end Brock's playoff run in heartbreaking fashion.
Goalkeeper
Maddy Heeley made four saves in her final match as a Badger.
Despite the final result, the Badgers have plenty to be proud of, reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2023 and finishing with their most total wins in a season since 2019, with seven. The campaign will also further be remembered for their seven-match unbeaten run to begin the year.
As the team turns its focus to the 2027 campaign, Brock will look to build on the momentum and experience gained throughout the season, as they look continue establishing themselves as a formidable force across OUA.
