U SPORTS Top 10: Women’s volleyball reaches season-high No. 4 in final rankings

Heading into the postseason with a 17-3 regular season record, the Brock Badgers women's volleyball team is ranked No. 4 in the final U SPORTS Top 10 rankings of the 2025-26 season.

After two consecutive victories over the Windsor Lancers and seven wins in their last eight games, the Brock Badgers head into the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs with plenty of momentum.

In their first game of the weekend on Friday, Feb. 13, the Badgers bested the Windsor Lancers 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-14) at Bob Davis Gymnasium. Three Badgers finished in double-digit points in the contest as Daryan Chadwick led the team with 13 from 10 kills, one ace and 1.5 blocks. Emma Baruchelli notched nine kills, one ace and two blocks to finish with 12 points, while fellow middle Charlotte Ross was not far behind with 11.5 from eight kills and 3.5 blocks. The Badgers controlled the match from the beginning,  increasing their hitting percentage from .294 in the first set to an impressive .464 in the third. Both Baruchelli and Ross played a large role in the blocking presence for Brock as they bested the visitors 13-1 in that category. 

Looking to solidify the top spot in the OUA standings, the Badgers delivered another commanding 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-14, 25-17) over the Windsor Lancers at Bob Davis Gymnasium. Madison Tuck led the team in points with 12.5, recording 10 kills, one service ace and 1.5 blocks on Saturday, Feb. 14, while Mackenna Knox distributed a game-high 30 assists, added eight digs defensively and contributed 4.5 points. Trailing 20-13 in the first set, the Badgers went on a 12-3 run to win 25-23, which was led by Avery Duncan coming off the bench and notching three consecutive aces. Brock controlled every main category including winning the blocks battle 6-3 and recording a 10-4 advantage in service aces.
