The Brock Badgers men's swimming team travelled to the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham, Ont., over the weekend, competing in the U SPORTS Swimming Championships from Thursday to Saturday. The group finished 16th overall, tying their best placement since 2006. In the process, the Badgers set four school records. Noah Chang placed sixth in the A final of the 50-metre breaststroke, touching the wall in 27 seconds and 57 milliseconds. His time of 27.51 in the preliminary round allowed him to break the old school standard he set (27.58), giving him the fifth seed going into the final. Camren Courchene-Carter also passed his own school standard in the 200m breaststroke, clocking in a time of 2:15.69 in the heats before finishing at 2:14.21 in the C final. Rounding out the record setters, Ethan Rotsaert-Smith broke a previous school record of 2:06.90 in the 200m individual medley after he touched the wall in 2:06.27 in the morning heats.

The Brock Badgers women's swimming team earned their best finish since 2001 with a 10th-place result at the 2026 U SPORTS Swimming Championships at the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham, Ont., which took place from Thursday to Saturday. Over the weekend, the Badgers broke eight school records. Tatum O'Connor made two A final appearances, finishing fourth in the 100-metre backstroke with a time of 1:00:03, while also finishing sixth in the 50m backstroke in a Brock record time of 27.49, breaking her bronze medal performance time of 27.65 she set at last year's championships. O'Connor teamed up with Cassidy Karrel, Quinn Mersereau and Grace Chai, finishing eighth in the 4x100m freestyle relay (3:46.45), besting a record of 3:52.25. Continuing their relay success, Chai, Karrel, Mersereau and Mia Frederiksen turned in a time of 8:28.14 in the 4x200m freestyle relay, breaking a previous school record of 8:36.42. O'Connor, Martone, Chai and Danielle Moss placed sixth in the 4x100m medley relay, finishing in 4:10.31, which broke a previous record set by this same group (4:13.22). Chai set a school standard in the 100m freestyle, clocking in a time of 55.81 in the preliminaries, breaking her previous time of 56.13 before finishing 13th overall in the race (56.26). Additionally, Martone broke the school record twice in the 50m breaststroke, touching the wall at 32.53 in the heats before finishing with a time of 32.45 in the C final, with both times besting her previous effort of 32.57.

The No. 3 seed Brock women's volleyball team made program history on Friday night, defeating the No. 6 seed Saint Mary's Huskies 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-18) at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C., to make their first semifinal appearance. Three Badgers finished in double-digit points as Emily Foest led the game with 16.5 from 14 kills, one service ace and 1.5 blocks, while Emma Baruchelli and Charlotte Ross notched 13.5 and 11, respectively. Mackenna Knox was named the Mikasa Team Player of the Game after delivering a game-high 36 assists and nine digs. Trailing 16-15 late, Foest earned four kills as part of a 7-0 Brock run that helped the Badgers eventually claim the frame 25-19. The second set saw Brock go up 6-0 early with three aces from Baruchelli, followed by a 17-11 stretch for the Huskies that tied the match at 17 apiece. The Badgers were not fazed, taking advantage of late opposition attack errors to help seal the frame 25-22. Saint Mary's jumped out to an 8-4 lead in the third, but the Badgers hit at an effective .250 per cent in the frame, which propelled them on a 21-10 run to take the set 25-18. The Badgers' defence held the Huskies to a -.020 hitting percentage, and Brock outpaced Saint Mary's in blocks 10-6 and digs 52-36 in the victory.

In a U SPORTS semifinal matchup against the No. 2 seed Sherbrooke Vert & Or, the No. 3 seed Brock Badgers women's volleyball team dropped a closely contested matchup 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 13-15) at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C on Saturday night. Daryan Chadwick turned in a game-high 17.5 points from 16 kills, one service ace and one block assist, while Mikasa Team Player of the Game Madison Tuck notched 17 points from 14 kills and three blocks. Pacing the offence, Knox tallied a game-high 53 assists. A back-and-forth first set saw the teams tied up at 18 apiece with eight combined kills from Tuck, Chadwick and Ross, but Sherbrooke closed the set out on a 7-3 run to take the frame 25-21. In the second set, the Vert & Or broke out to an early 6-2 lead but the Badgers went on a key 14-8 stretch en route to eventually taking the second frame 25-23. Sherbrooke opened the third set with a 9-3 advantage early, and cruised to a 25-15 frame victory. The fourth set saw Chadwick tally four early kills to help the Badgers go up 13-10. Despite a 5-0 run from the Vert & Or, the Badgers responded with five different players recording kills to take the set 25-21. In the deciding frame, three kills from Chadwick propelled the Badgers to an early 9-7 lead, but it was the Vert et Or who pulled away, taking the frame 15-13. The Badgers tallied a higher attacking percentage throughout the contest, converting at .174 per cent to the Vert & Or's .166. Additionally, Brock won the kills category 60-56.

The No. 3 seed Badgers claimed their first national medal on Sunday night, defeating the Trinity Western Spartans 3-2 (25-17, 24-26, 24-26, 25-18, 15-11) in the bronze medal game at the 2026 U SPORTS Championship held at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. Foest was named the Mikasa Team Player of the Game after contributing 12.5 points from 12 kills and a block assist, while Tuck led all players with 21 points on 14 kills, three aces and four blocks. The Badgers hit a tournament-best .472 in the first set and recorded 18 kills, including five from Tuck, to secure the frame 25-17. In the second, Brock took their first lead at 22-21 on a late block, but Trinity Western eventually clawed back from down 24-22 with four consecutive points to take a 26-24 set victory. With the Badgers leading 21-16 in the third frame, the Spartans came back once again, this time with a 10-3 run to take the set by the same score as the second. Brock played strong defence in the fourth, cruising to a 25-18 victory as they held Trinity Western to a .030 hitting percentage and controlled the net with five blocks. In the deciding set, the Badgers earned three consecutive kills to take a 7-5 advantage, and they expanded their lead late to win 15-11 after a serving error from the Spartans. In the match, the Badgers outhit the hosts .265 to .168 and controlled the net with 13 blocks to nine from their opponents.

Women's Figure Skating
Tuesday, March 10 - Wednesday, March 11 Placed seventh at OUA Championship

The Brock figure skating team competed at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championship on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, placing seventh overall. Kailyn Davison and Macartney De Vries earned a fourth-place finish in the Couples Artistic category, while Shelby Burnison finished fourth in the Gold Solo Dance. The Badgers also earned a fourth-place result in the Synchro event. Head coach Claire Sanderson saw her achievements recognized by the OUA as she was named Coach of the Year.
