Jon Marcheterre

Jon Marcheterre (Brock BA ‘03, BEd ‘06), played for the Brock Badgers from 1999-2003 and was a member of the 1999 National Championship winning team. Marcheterre, was Head Coach Marc LePage’s first hire when forming his staff in April 2017 and has continued remained with the team working primarily with the catchers and team defence. 

Upon graduation, Marcheterre, assisted with the Badgers catchers on a part time basis, as well as serving as a guest coach during training camp, until his hire as a full time assistant. He has also run a successful catcher development program, working with youth and elite catchers in the Niagara region. 

Marcheterre played with the Niagara Metros from 2002-2019, and was inducted into the COBA Major Hall of Fame in 2019.

Marcheterre resides in St. Catharines with his wife Cindy, and daughter Maelle, and teaches and coaches basketball at Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School. There he has led the Phoenix to 3 consecutive OFSAA tournaments (2018-20), winning silver (2018), and bronze (2019) medals.
