Brandon Edwards is the full-time lead assistant coach of men’s basketball at Brock University.  

Edwards grew up in Gatineau, QC where he played basketball and baseball at the provincial level. He played collegiate basketball for Heritage College where he would go on to coach for eight years. During the 2018-19 season, Edwards led the Heritage College men’s basketball program to a 40-1 record and a provincial title - the only one in school history.

Additionally, Edwards coached at the club and prep school levels in Ottawa, Ont where he would guide the U17 team to a CYBL championship, including tournaments throughout Canada with Ottawa Elite and Canada TopFlight Academy.

In the summer of 2020, Edwards served as an assistant coach for the Ottawa BlackJacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).

A former teacher, Edwards holds a B.A. from Bishop’s University, a B.Ed. from Ottawa University and a Master’s of Education degree from the University of Victoria in Coaching Studies.
