Kelsey Marshall (BaKIN Hons, CAT(C), RMT, Acupuncture Cert) is a Certified Athletic Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist & Certified in Acupuncture.
She joined Brock University in the 2018 season as a Varsity Staff Athletic Therapist. Marshall oversees the Men’s Rugby and Lacrosse teams as well as the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball programs.
Along with providing care to the athletes, Marshall plays a large part in student curriculum within the Brock Sports Medicine program for more than 40 student therapists placed with various Brock teams. Marshall’s prior collegiate experience was at McMaster University where she worked as Certified Athletic Therapist from 2015-17 with the Men’s and Women’s Rugby teams and the Women’s Soccer team and as a Student Athletic Therapist from 2013-14 with the Varsity Football team.
Marshall has worked with various levels and type of sport including both national level and professional experience. Most recently, she worked with her hometown team, the Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, when they won the 2020 Summer Series Championship, being the first North American professional level sport to return safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, she worked as a Massage Therapist for Bobsleigh Canada and Skeleton Canada on the World Cup tour in Lake Placid, NY. In 2017, she was selected to act as Lead Therapist with Hockey Canada’s Women’s Development program, as well as Football Canada’s Women’s National Team for the 2017 IFAF Women’s World Championship, and with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League in 2010.
Marshall looks forward to continuing to be a part of the Badger community and bringing her experience and passion for sport rehabilitation to the varsity clinic as well as play a role in educating future practitioners.
