Volpe (BA '15) returned to Brock University after patrolling the Badgers' crease as a netminder for the men's hockey team for four seasons from 2011-15 while earning a degree in Psychology.

A native of Burlington, Volpe's playing career also includes the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and time with the Fort Erie Meteors of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) and Burlington Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL).

He also backstopped the Skycity Stampede to two championship seasons overseas in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League (NZIHL).

Volpe is currently also a goaltending coach at Cutting Edge Hockey in Oakville where he develops young goaltenders. He is also the goaltending coach for the Burlington Cougars and assistant goalie coach for the Erie Otters of the OHL.
