Matt Attwood has been involved in the game of lacrosse for more than 30 years, and I have been coaching for the last 16 years.

Attwood started coaching the Badgers men’s lacrosse team in 2017. Although the team has found a lot of success, Attwood is driven to win the Baggataway Cup, the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association’s hallmark trophy.

“Coaching has taken me to a lot of places I wouldn’t necessarily been able to visit and gave me the opportunity to meet a lot of new people and players,” said Attwood. “It has been a great pleasure of mine to give back to the game I love.”

Some of Attwood’s highlight coaching accomplishments include winning the Provincial A Championships from 2009 to 2012 with the Niagara Raiders of the Ontario Junior Field Lacrosse League, hoisting the 2013 President’s Cup with the St. Catharines senior B Saints lacrosse team and capturing the 2014 Creators Cup title with the Niagara Lock Monsters of the Canadian Lacrosse League.
