Jacob Barker

Jacob Barker is a 22-year-old Sport Management student at Brock University and is from Strathroy, Ont. He is entering his third year as an Assistant Coach with Brock Men’s Volleyball, after spending two years prior working as the Statistician and Game Scout for the team.  

Along with Brock, Barker also spent two years as an Assistant Coach with the Niagara Rapids Volleyball Club prior to transitioning to a Head Coaching role. During his two years as an assistant, he picked up a bronze medal at Ontario Championships in 2018, followed by a gold medal at Grand Prix Championships and and a top 10 finish at National Championships in 2019. Barker took the lead with the 14U Boys team for the 2019-20 season and managed to pick up a couple silver medals and a top 10 ranking prior to the season being forced to stop.  

Barker also has experience in the Ontario Volleyball High Performance pathway, coaching with the Team Ontario Regional Program during the summer of 2019, followed by a coaching position with Team Ontario White the following season. Barker hopes to continue his coaching career through the high-performance pathway and is excited to further his experience with the Men’s Volleyball program this year.Â
