Nicholson enters his third year as an assistant coach with Brock Women’s Hockey where he oversees the defence and coaches the penalty kill. He also took on the role of Director of Recruiting during the 2019-20 season.
Prior to joining Brock, Nicholson spent eight years at the Ontario Hockey Academy prep school in Cornwall, Ont where he served as head coach with the girls' program. During his tenure, he was instrumental in helping more than 70 girls reach their goal of playing in U SPORTS or NCAA hockey. Nicholson began his coaching career as the head coach of the Uxbridge Bruins Jr. C team and has also coached minor hockey with the Merritton Athletic Association and the St. Catharines Female Hockey Association.
Nicholson is a graduate of NCAA Union College where he was a four-year member of the varsity hockey team, garnering MVP honours in his senior year. He lives in Merritton with his family and is a teacher with the District School Board of Niagara.
