2007:  In her freshman season, Van Bakel made animmediate impact with the Badgers setting a new school singleseason record for goals adding six in 14 games, which included thegame winning goal versus Western (09/09/2007)... recorded her firstCanadian Interuniversity Sport goal in the Badgers 4-0 victory overthe Guelph Gryphons (09/02/2007).

2008:  As a sophomore, Van Bakel helpedlead the Badgers to the OUA bronze and a school best CIS silvermedal finish at the CIS National Championships... was tied for theteam lead in goals with a career high six goals... recorded twogame winning goals versus Western (09/21/2008) during the regularseason and against Cape Breton (11/06/2008) at the Nationals... wasnamed an OUA first-team all star for the first time in her careerand was selected to the CIS Championship All-TournamentTeam.

2009: As a junior, Van Bakel continued to bethe Badgers offensive leader as she led the team in scoring andranked among the top 20 in the OUA with five goals...was named anOUA first-team all star for the second time in her career and wasselected as a CIS 2nd Team All-Canadian, just the third player inschool history to earn that honour.
