Marty Williamson

Marty Williamson is a Hockey Canada High Performance I certified coach. He took the reins as head coach of the Brock Badgers in 2017. In Williamson's first two seasons he lead the Badgers to the National Championships in 2017-18 and set a school record for wins in 2018-19. He also won back-to-back OUA West Coach of the Year honors also receiving 2017-18 Brock Coach of the Year.
 
Prior to joining Brock, Williamson coached in the OHL for 12 years - six years with the Barrie Colts and six with the Niagara IceDogs. Williamson won three OHL Conference titles and never missed the playoffs in the 12 years.
 
Born in Markham, Ont, Williamson has been involved in hockey for most of his life between loving to play the game for many years of minor hockey and pro hockey to coaching the game for almost 30 years.
 
Williamson's highlights as a player was winning the U SPORTS National Championships at York University. Then signing as a free agent contract with the New York Rangers while playing minor pro and then went on to play three years in Europe. His accomplishments as a coach include winning a Junior ‘A’ RBC Canadian Championship with the Aurora Tigers followed by a successful 12 years in OHL and now leading the Brock Badgers Men’s hockey program.
