Steve Delaney began coaching the Brock women's volleyball team in 2018 and has been named OUA Coach of the Year three times (2019-20, 2021-22, 2022-23) and U SPORTS Coach of the Year in 2021-22.
Under Delaney's leadership, the Badgers delivered an 18-2 regular season during the 2023-24 season. The team earned their third consecutive OUA banner and qualified for the U SPORTS Championship for a fourth time since 2020.
In 2022-23, Delaney led the Badgers to an 18-2 regular season, before sweeping through the OUA playoffs to claim their second consecutive Quigley Cup championship banner and second appearance at a U SPORTS Championship.
During the 2021-22 season, Delaney guided the Badgers to an undefeated 13-0 regular season record en route to the programs first Quigley Cup OUA Championship banner in program history. The team finished with a 18-2 overall record, placing sixth overall at the U SPORTS Championship.
In 2019-20, Delaney guided the Badgers to the OUA West Division title and a silver medal at the OUA Championships. It was their first OUA Final Four appearance since 1991, including first trip to the U SPORTS Championships in program history.
Delaney also won provincial and national medals with the Halton Hurricanes of Burlington. As a player, he played pro in Finland and in France and also for the U of Winnipeg. Delaney also spent time as a member of the Team Canada Beach Volleyball team.
He has also coached the Team Ontario Men's team for three summers.
