Jim Bilotta is an Athletic Therapist and Registered Kinesiologist at Brock University where he has been employed for the past 30 years. Bilotta has also taught on numerous occasions for the Brock University Department of Kinesiology. He has a Master’s degree in Education (teaching and learning) from Brock University and Undergraduate Honors Degree in Physical Education from Brock. Bilotta has also completed his Athletic Therapy diploma from Sheridan College and a diploma in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.
Bilotta has worked on the Canadian Medical team for various international games including the Pan American Games in Argentina, Para Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, World University Games in both Japan and Sicily, and World Rowing Championships in St. Catharines.
He has a specialty in treating soft tissue injuries, muscle imbalances and fascial restrictions. Over the past 15 years, Bilotta has taught his Soft Tissue Release workshops throughout Canada to thousands of health care professionals including Athletic Therapists, Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists and students of these professions. Bilotta has also taught his workshops to professional sports team therapists including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Winnipeg Blue Boomers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. His expertise in soft tissue release therapy helps restore athletes’ full function and eliminates postural imbalances.
Bilotta resides in St. Catharines with his wife Mindy and their two children, Abigayle and Brennen, and dog Leo. He enjoys spending time with his family and help coaching his son’s hockey and soccer teams. Bilotta also enjoys maintaining his fitness through running, strength training, P90X and Insanity.
