Ajay Sharma was named interim head coach of the Brock women’s basketball team in May 2026.

Sharma spent the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach at Brock, helping the Badgers to a 14-8 regular season record and a berth in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) quarterfinals for the seventh consecutive season.

Prior to joining the Badgers, Sharma built one of the most successful women’s basketball programs in Canadian collegiate sport. With the Humber Hawks, he captured two Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national championships and six Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) titles.

During his tenure at Humber, the Hawks also earned one national bronze medal and two provincial bronze while compiling a 223-41 record.

In 2023, Sharma joined Christa Eniojukan’s coaching staff for Canada’s U23 women’s national team at the GLOBLJAM tournament, where the team finished second.
