Courtney joined Brock in 2024 with over a decade of experience in sport administration, spanning university athletics, private education, and professional sport. As Associate Director of Sport at Brock University, Courtney oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of the varsity and sport club programs.
Before joining Brock, Courtney served as Director of Athletics at Ridley College. As the school’s first female Athletic Director, Courtney oversaw 65 athletic teams and four elite prep sport programs. During her time at Ridley, Courtney also served as Executive Chair of the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA), overseeing the governance of 1,500 teams across 38 independent schools.
Her earlier career included roles in the professional and collegiate sport sectors. At Wasserman, she managed sponsorship portfolios for clients like BMW, Air Canada, Canadian Pacific and the Canadian Olympic Committee. She also worked with the San Francisco Bulls of the East Coast Hockey League and held multiple roles at the University of San Francisco in both their athletic and recreation departments.
Holding a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and a Master of Sport Management from the University of San Francisco, Courtney is passionate about creating athletic environments that elevate the student experience, both on and off the field.
