For the third time this season, Farokhizad took home a gold medal. The Sport Management major placed first at the University of Toronto Open on Saturday, Dec. 2. in the men's 90-kilogram weight class. Farokhizad won his first match by technical fall 11-0 and followed it up with a semifinal victory via fall over Kareem Yakubu of Queen's. He then defeated Ryan Barney of Lakehead by technical fall 10-0, winning three straight matches en route to the first-place finish.
