Making a debut to remember, Gandrabura received the Male Rookie of the Year award at the 2024 OUA Championships for his gold medal winning performance in the 65kg weight class. The Social Sciences student earned three wins in pool play. He then secured first place with a win by fall at 2:47 over Dechlan Papadopoulos of the TMU Bold; the third-ranked wrestler in the 68kg category in the latest U SPORTS individual rankings.
