Friesen captured a second consecutive gold medal at the OUA Championships in the 56kg division. For her efforts, she was named Outstanding Female Wrestler at the conclusion of the tournament. In her lone pool play match, the Social Sciences major defeated Guelph's Jayden Sparks by technical fall; the No. 7 ranked 56 kg wrestler in the latest U SPORTS individual rankings. She followed it up with a win in the gold medal match over the No. 4 ranked Kendall Dettloff of the Western Mustangs by fall in just 24 seconds.
