Jalyn Mowry, a third-year Brock women's rower, had an impressive start to the season winning two gold medals at the Western Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Fanshawe Lake in London. The Teacher Education major first won a gold medal in the women's single, finishing in a time of eight minutes, 10 seconds and 0 milliseconds; almost 10 seconds ahead of the next-best finisher. Mowry then partnered with Genavieve Jopling, Mallorie Taylor, Samantha Wimbush and coxswain Alyssa Gray in the women's four (7:41.6) to earn her second first-place finish of the weekend.
