After dropping the first two games of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) West Regional Qualifier, Liam Riley and the Badgers rebounded with two consecutive victories to book their ticket to the provincial championship. In a thrilling 8-6 extra innings victory over the McMaster Marauders in the semifinal, the first-year infielder notched a triple that brought home the go-ahead run in the tenth inning, and he scored the eighth and final run of the game on a wild pitch. In the final against the Guelph Gryphons, Riley delivered three singles and one run batted in (RBI) while scoring two runs. Over the weekend, he had seven hits in 19 at bats and had a total of nine RBI as well as a 1.113 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS).
