Emily Foest, a fourth-year outside hitter, helped the Brock women's volleyball team head into the holiday break with a seven-game winning streak after a sweep of the Ottawa Gee-Gees. On Saturday, Nov. 30, the Badgers had to fight back after going down 2-0 to pull off a reverse sweep of the host Gee-Gees. The Kinesiology major put up a team-high 18 points off 16 kills, one service and one block. In the pivotal fifth set, Foest helped score two of the final three Badgers' points as they came back down 13-12 to win 15-13. After her fourth kill of the set made it 13-13, Foest went back to the service line and delivered a strong float serve that Ottawa could not pass up to seal the 15-13 fifth-set victory and the match. The night prior on Friday, Nov. 29, Foest had eight points, all off kills, to help the Badgers sweep the Gee-Gees. At the conclusion of the first half of the season, Foest is third in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference in total kills (133) and fifth in total points (150.5).
