Adeline Steiger, a third-year runner, bested 13 other competitors to place first in the 1000-metre race at the 2025 Sharon Anderson Meet in Toronto. The Media and Communication Studies major finished in a time of three minutes, two seconds and 56 milliseconds which was over two seconds faster than the second-place finishing Brooklyn McCormick. Steiger beat her personal best by ten seconds and took home the track and field team's Athlete of the Meet honours for her impressive performance. In the 600m race, she also delivered a personal best, besting her previous mark by five seconds.
