Davanté Hackett helped lift the Badgers with a 102-100 win over the No. 6 ranked Queen's Gaels on Saturday, Jan. 25 in a rematch of last year's Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Wilson Cup final. The second-year guard scored 27 points off a 9-for-14 shooting performance from the field and a 5-for-7 effort from the three-point line. He also added nine rebounds to finish one shy of his second double-double of the season. The night prior on Friday, Jan. 24, Hackett scored 13 points and added a team-high three steals in the 75-69 victory. This marks the second time this season, he has been named Athlete of the Week as he was recognized on Dec. 1, 2024 for his career-high 29-point showing against the Western Mustangs. Hackett currently leads the team with 14.3 points per game, putting him 22nd in the conference.
