On the mats, Gabriel Blanchette earned his first provincial gold medal after finishing third in 2023 and second in 2024. The third-year wrestler went 3-0 in Pool A of the 68-kilogram weight category, winning two matches by technical fall 10-0 over Akash Rudran (TMU Bold) and Ketan Nawbatt (Toronto Varsity Blues) and one contest by 8-4 decision, defeating Casey Harkley (Guelph Gryphons). This set up a final with Zachary Ortencio who went undefeated in Pool B. Blanchette defeated the Western Mustang by a tight 7-2 decision victory to earn first place. The Badgers men's wrestling team also won their ninth consecutive title that day and 26th overall.
