Finishing an incredible season, Riley Watson earned 2025 Male Athlete of the Year honours, capturing three medals at the Canadian University Rowing Championships. Opening his medal tally, the Medical Sciences major earned a silver in the men's lightweight single, with a time of seven minutes, 38 seconds and 378 milliseconds. His second medal came in the men's lightweight double, where he and partner Connor Dodds' time of 6:47.996 secured them gold in the event. Rounding out his day, the Peterborough, Ont., native won a gold medal in the men's lightweight coxed four with Dodds, along with crewmates Sawyer Dalton and Joe Coughler and coxswain Serafina Dell, finishing with a time of 6:44.111.
