Travelling to Toronto for the Pat Bolger Open on Sunday, Nov. 16, Yazdan Farokhizad placed first in the men's 100-kg division, winning all three of his matches by technical fall. The Sport Management major's first victory of the day came when he defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues Andrija Rasovic in two minutes and 30 seconds with a 10-0 technical fall result. In the semifinal, the two-time Ontario University Athletics (OUA) medallist earned another 10-0 technical fall win; this time in 1:12 over Jacques Chevolot of the Brock Wrestling Club. In the final, the third-year student faced Brock's Callum Knox, where he defeated him in 3:21 via 11-0 technical fall. Remaining undefeated on the university season, Farokhizad's performance gave him his third gold medal and helped the Badgers earn a first-place finish in the tournament.
