WATERLOO, Ont. – The Brock University women's soccer team (2-6-4 OUA) came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Waterloo Warriors (1-9-1 OUA) on Sunday afternoon.
Waterloo would get the scoring started in the 28th minute on a goal scored by Tara Butterworth giving the Warriors a 1-0 lead through the first half.
Emily Deckert increased the lead to two in the 60th minute putting the Badgers in a desperate position.
Brock's
Kelly Miller (Brantford, Ont.) answered three minutes later with a goal of her own to bring the Badgers back to within one with the score 2-1 after 63 minutes. Miller retook the team lead in goals with three putting herself back in front of fellow rookie

Waterloo's defense held tough late in the game holding back the Brock offense and leading them to the 2-1 win.
The Badgers will be on the road for two 1pm games next weekend starting with a Saturday matchup against the Western Mustangs (6-5-2 OUA) before heading to Windsor on Sunday for a game against the Lancers (4-5-2 OUA).
