SUDBURY, Ont. - The Brock University men's basketball team fell to 0-4 in the regular season as they dropped a 93-72 decision to the Laurentian Voyageurs Saturday night on the road.
Brock got behind early trailing by 13 after one quarter, 23-10, and could never recover as Laurentian won all four quarters.
Laurentian had four players in double digits led by Alex Ratte who led all scorers with a game-high 24 points. Tychon Carter-Newman added 18 points and six rebounds while Nelson Yengue and Ryan Bennett rounded out the Voyageurs leaders chipping in with 17 and 13 points respectively.

Dani Elgadi (Waterloo, Ont.) who recorded the double-double adding 22 points and 14 rebounds. Senior
Tshing Kasamba (St. Catharines, Ont.) contributed with 19 points, six rebounds and four steals. Off the bench, freshman
Josh Johnson (Simcoe, Ont.) chipped in with eight points including two three-pointers in the loss.
For the game, Brock shot 37.3% (22-for-59) from the field, 40.0% (6-for-15) from three-point range and 64.7% (22-for-34) from the charity stripe.
The Voyageurs finished the contest shooting 52.3% (34-for-65) from the field including 12-for-28Â (42.9%) from beyond the arc. They also shot 76.5% (13-for-17) from the free throw line.Â
The Badgers return home next weekend as they host the No.3 ranked Ottawa GeeGees and No. 1 ranked Carleton Ravens at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.
