ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's hockey team (8-12-1 OUA) dropped a 4-1 decison to the No. 3 ranked Guelph Gryphons Wednesday night at the Seymour-Hannah Centre. The Badgers remain one point out of a playoff spot with three regular season games left.
Guelph opened the scoring 14:40 into the first period on the powerplay as Kimberley Wong and Amanda Perkins setup Jessica Pinkerton for her 16th goal of the campaign.
Less than a minute later at 15:19, Brock tied the game 1-1 as senior

Midway through the third period, the Gryphons would add another as Cara Sayles beat Brock freshman goaltender
Jenna Sosnoski (Nw Dundee, Ont.) for her second goal of the campaign.
In goal, Sosnoski recorded 30 saves, including her 500th of the season. Guelph starter Stephanie Nehring turned aside 17 of 18 shots she faced for her league leading 16th win of the season.Â
