ST CATHARINES, Ont. – The Brock University women's volleyball team (6-13 OUA West) came up short in a 3-2, five set loss, to the hands of the McMaster Marauders (12-6 OUA West) on Friday night in the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
Prior to the match, Brock University recognized their five senior players and one senior trainer for their efforts with the women's volleyball team.

Hayley Orr have all been great team players with Brock and we wish them the best in their future endeavours. Student trainer, Kayleigh Beaudry, will join her fellow Badgers in graduating after this season.
The Badgers got off to a good start coming away with a 25-23 first set win to grab an early 1-0 lead in the match.
The Marauders fought back to take the following two sets, 25-22 and 25-20, giving McMaster a 2-1 advantage.
The fourth set was the most impressive for Brock, as they registered 16 kills with just two errors on 28 total attempts for a remarkable .500 hitting percentage to tie the match at two sets apiece after a 25-21 win.
The fire that the Badgers had in the fourth dissipated in the fifth and deciding set giving way to a Marauders team that played an error free set to come away with a 15-4 final set victory to take the match 3-2.
Seniors
Tori Stirling, Power and McLay were all impressive in their final game inside the Bob Davis Gymnasium with each player collecting double doubles in the loss. Stirling recorded 16 kills with a .281 hitting percentage to go with 15 digs, Power also had 16 kills to go with her 14 digs, while McLay registered 14 kills and a match high 21 digs. Lauren Stirling led all players with 41 assists to give her 607 on the season.
Karlinna O'Leary finished with 20 digs.
Sophie Bukovec and Joanna Jedrzejewska led the way for McMaster, registering 17 and 10 kills respectively. Rookie Bukovec tied for a game high 50 attempts and currently sits second in the OUA with 626 attempts this season.
The Badgers had a hitting percentage of .216 in the match coming from 53 kills, 21 errors and 148 attempts. The Marauders recorded 54 kills, 17 errors and 156 attempts for a .237 hitting percentage.
The Badgers will now play the waiting game to see whether or not they will qualify for the OUA playoffs.
