
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's rugby team (0-2 OUA) fell to the No. 10 ranked Western Mustangs 49-0, at home Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs used a balanced offence and a strong defensive showing to shut-out the Badgers. Western scoring came from Mackenzie Fane (2 trys), Andrea Bowra (3 trys), Breanne Nicholas (2 trys, 2 converts), Nikki Case (1 try), and Kimmi Kuiper (1 try).
Under first year head coach
Rebecca Delaney,the young Badgers squad made up of 24 first and second year players, are starting to come together as a unit and look to get into the win column in the upcoming weeks.
The Brock women's rugby team continues their season, September 20th at 3pm, when they host the Trent Excalibur. Come out and support your Brock Badgers as part of the 2014 Homecoming festivities.
