The Brock University women's lacrosse team improved their OUA conference record to 6-0-1 as they defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks and Guelph Gryphons on the road Saturday afternoon.
In the Badgers 12-8 victory over Laurier,
Kathryn Simpson (Welland, Ont.) led the way with a five goal performance.
Kendra Byers (Mississauga, Ont.) contributed with four goals while
Breanne Gillie (Dundas, Ont.) (2G, 1A) and
Sarah Simpson (Welland, Ont.) (1G, A) rounded out the offense.
Versus Guelph, the Badgers were tied 6-6 ten minutes into the second half, before answering with three straight goals to take a 9-6 lead.They would add one more goal late, on route to their sixth victory of the campaign.
Byers led the offense with three goals and one assist.
Sarah Simpson and
Eryn Brown (Hamilton, Ont.) added two goals each while Gillie (1G, 2A) and
Brittany Schwende (Elora, Ont.) (1G) rounded out the Brock scoring.
