TORONTO - The Brock University women's volleyball team (1-6 OUA) lost in straight sets 3-0 (16-25, 16-25, 11-25) to the No. 5 ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues Saturday afternoon on the road.
"We have a very young, deep roster, one that has shown several times the athleticism and physicality. Â Good things will happen if we just keep working hard on and off the court," said head coach Dale Melnick. "
Toronto is very strong and very consistent.  It was a great opportunity for us to play them in such an amazing facility."Alanna Norris (Whitby, Ont.) led the Badgers with six kills and seven digs.
Maddie Brown (Scarborough, Ont.) contributed with five kills and one block solo. Libero
Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, Ont.) recorded 17 digs while rookie setterÂ
Annika Naylor (Calgary, AB)Â finished with just 13 assists in the loss.
Alina Dormann led the Varsity Blues offense with 10 kills and six digs.
For the match, the Badgers hit just .024 adding 22 kills with 20 errors on 83 attempts. Toronto recorded 39 kills with 11 errors on 89 attempts for a .315 hitting percentage. Â
The Badgers are on the road Nov. 20 when they travel to the nation's capital to take on the Ottawa GeeGees.
