Photo Credit: Vaughn RidleyST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's lacrosse team (1-0 OUA) made some history Saturday afternoon as they became the first Brock team to win on the new Alumni Field defeating the Laurier Golden Hawks by the score of 9-5 on Homecoming weekend.

Leading the Badgers offense was
Kendra Byers who recorded the natural hat trick.
Breanne Gillie (2G, 1A) and
Kathryn Simpson (3A) both contributed with three points each.
Grace Whitfield,
Eryn Brown, Sam Shure and
Sarah Simpson all chipped in with one goal each while Brittany Shwende added a single assist.
In goal, Brock starter MacKenzie Singer was outstanding turning aside 21 shots for the victory. For her performance, she earned Player of the Game honours for the Badgers.

The Badgers are in action again Sunday when they take on the McMaster Marauders (11:30am) and Guelph Gryphons (4:45pm) in Waterloo.
