GUELPH, ON - The Brock University women's volleyball team (1-11 OUA) dropped their seventh straight as they were swept by the Guelph Gryphons 3-0 (17-25, 11-25, 23-25) on the road Saturday afternoon.
Tori Carroll (Walkerton, ON) and
Maddie Brown (Scarborough, ON) led the Badgers with seven and six kills respectively. International studentÂ
Hannah Davenhill (New Zealand) made her Brock debut adding nine assists, two kills and three digs.
For the Gryphons, Maddie Dedecker led the way adding 11 kills and 10 digs for the double-double. Farren Varty-McDonald contributed with 10 kills, while setter Cayte Wilson collected 35 assists in the victory.
The Badgers finished with just 22 kills in the match and a .102 hitting efficiency. Guelph recorded 42 kills with 16 errors on 84 attempts for a .310 team hitting pecentage.
The Badgers now return home for six of their final seven regular season games. Their next action is Saturday, January 23rd at 2pm when they host the Windsor Lancers at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
