Box Score ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's basketball team (6-1 OUA, 19-4 Overall) defeated the Windsors Lancers by the score of 86-79 Saturday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Brock jumped out to an early 11-2 lead and held a 19-14 lead after one quarter. The Badgers offense continued to roll in the second quarter as they went up 43-23 with just under two minutes left in the half.

In the third, Brock extended their lead to as many as 21 points, before the Lancers went on a 18-7 run to bring it within 10 points 59-49 with two minutes left in the quarter.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Badgers led 72-55. Windsor answered with an 8-0 run, cutting the lead to single digits, 72-63 with 4:39 left.

Brock went up by 14 points (79-65) with 2:08 remaining. The Lancers offense answered right back with a 11-2 run, to make it a five-point game (81-76) with 35 seconds left. The Badgers knocked down their free throws down the stretch to secure the home victory.

The Badgers had four players reach double digits led by Dani Elgadi (Waterloo, ON) who recorded 25 points and 13 rebounds. Johneil Simpson (Toronto, ON) contributed with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists. Ryan Bennett (Toronto, ON) added 16 points and seven rebounds while Nolan Mackenzie (Oakville, ON) chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds for the win.

Alex Campbell and Isiah Osborne combined for 49 of the Lancers points. Campbell finished with 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Osborne added 23 points and eight boards.

For the game, Brock shot 44.3% (27-for-61) from the field, 26.9% (7-for-26) from long range and 83.3% (25-for-30) from the free throw line. The Lancers were 24-for-72 (33.3%) from the floor including 8-for-28 (28.6%) from beyond the arc and 23-for-31 (74.2%) from the charity stripe.
