
GUELPH, ON - The Brock University women's lacrosse team finished with one loss and one tie Saturday on the road.
After knocking off the five-time defending OUA champion Western Mustangs a week ago, Western returned the favour and defeated Brock by the score of 15-10.
Eryn Brown (Hamilton, ON) led the Badgers scoring with five goals.
Lindsey Highfield (Georgetown, ON) chipped in with two goals and one assist.
Grace Whitfield (Orangeville, ON),
Sarah Simpson (St. Catharines, ON) and
Kathryn Simpson (St. Catharines, ON)Â added in one goal each.
Brock is now 1-1 with the Mustangs and looks forward to meeting them in the OUA championship.
Brock started their second game strong against the Guelph Gryphons but fell behind for them to tie the game up in the last 6 minutes making the final score 7-7.
Brown and K.Simpson led the scoring with two goals and one assist each.
Samantha Shure added one goal and two assists and
Ally Brown finished with one goal and one assist. Highfield added in one goal with
Jennifer Budarick assisting.
The Brock Badgers have an important two weeks ahead of them before the OUA championships at McMaster on October 21st. They head to Laurier on October 8th to face Laurier and McMaster.
