
PETERBOROUGH, ON - The Brock University women's lacrosse team had a 1-1 weekend as they defeated the York Lions by the score of 15-5 and dropped their second game to the host Trent Excalibur 15-12.
In the win over York, the Badgers started the half strong with three goals and four assists from
Samantha Shure.
Kathryn Simpson and
Marianna Andrade both added two goals with an assist from
Anna Podvalni.
Jordan Turpin finished with three goals and one assist while
Brittany Schwende collected two helpers. Rounding out the scoring were
Sarah Simpson,
Danielle Dickson and
Mikayla Vaz who added one goal each.
In the loss to Trent, who went undefeated in the regular season,
Eryn Brown led the way registering five goals and three assists.
Lindsey Highfield and K.Simpson both added two goals and two assists. Shure and S.Simpson both chipped in with one goal and two assists.
Grace Whitfield added a single goal to round out the scoring.
Brock has their final regular season game tomorrow night on the Alumni Field against the University of Toronto at 7pm. They are 6-1-4 hoping to bring home one final win before they head to McMaster for the OUA Championships this Friday.
