HAMILTON, ON - The Brock University women's lacrosse team won their first game at the OUA Championships Friday afternoon against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by a score of 10-8.

Kathryn Simpson led the scoring with four goals while Eryn Brown added in with a solid three goals and one assist. Grace Whitfield helped her team with one goal and one assist. Sarah Simpson and Samantha Shure rounded out the Brock scoring with one goal each.

The Badgers kept their strong intensity up until the end to only allow two goals in the second half. 

Brock now takes on the undefeated Trent Excalibur in the OUA semi-finals Saturday at 3:15pm in Hamilton. The Badgers are back-to-back OUA silver medalists and have their eyes set on gold this weekend.
