WATERLOO, ON - The Brock University women's rugby team shutout the Laurier Golden Hawks by the score of 48-0 Friday night on the road.
With the victory, the Badgers clinch third place in the OUA Sheils Division witha 2-3 record and clinch a postseason berth.
The Badgers had seven diferent scorers led by
Sarah Pretty (Owen Sound, ON) and Team Canada player
Niamh Haughey (Scarborough, ON) who recorded two trys each.
Single trys went to
Mel Shantz (Petersburg, ON),
Amarije Barnes (Brampton, ON),
Kelsey Smith (Kingston, ON), and
Vanessa Cifuentes (Niagara Falls, ON). Kicker
Meagan Hart (Brantford,ON) made four converts to finish with eight points on the night.
