ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock women's volleyball played right to the very last play of their season, dropping a heartbreaker in five sets (17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 16-18) to the York Lions in front of 250 fans at the Bob Davis Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.

Dale Ann Melnick. "I would like to thank Alexis for her committment to the Brock volleyball program and wish her the best in her future endeavours. This group of girls is a special one and I can't wait to start preparing for next season."
Leading the Badgers was
Abby Jenkins (Cambridge, ON) who finished with seven kills and seven digs.
Maddie Brown (Scarborough, ON) contributed with six kills, six digs and two block solos, while
Kelsi Boroevich and
Tori Carroll (Walkerton, ON) added five kills each. Libero
Karlinna O'Leary (Whitby, ON) collected a match high 32 digs. The Badgers lone graduating player
Alexis Gregorio added two kills, 12 assists and eight digs in her final career match. Rookie
Alanna Norris (Whitby, ON) finished her rookie campaign with 38 aces, good for second overall in the OUA.
The Lions were led by Cadence Currie and Celeste Witzell who registered 13 kills each in the victory.
"The Brock volleyball program would like to thank all the fan support we had all season, especially to the Badger Beach Boys, who may be one of the most unique and exciting fan groups in all of Canadian University sport," said Melnick.
For the match, Brock hit .069 collecting 38 kills, with 27 errors on 159 attempts. York finished with a .107 hitting percentage adding 46 kills, with 28 errors on 168 attempts.
