The Brock University women's lacrosse team finished with one win and one loss at Guelph on Sunday October 1st. The Badgers won 11-4 against the York Lions and lost 12-7 against the Trent Excalibur.
During the first game the Lions scored first, but the Badgers quickly bounced back with a quick goal from
Olivia Langdon. The Badgers took the first half 6-2 with goals from
Gillian Webster, CeCe Payne,
Ally Brown,
Victoria Halliday, and
Tessa Czerlau. Brock closed out the second half by adding five more goals from Goals from
Brittany Schwende,
Shania Porter,
Mikayla Vaz, Langdon, and
Jennifer Budarick.

Mackenzie Singer only allowed four  goals with the help from
Lyanne Martin,
Shauna Muir,
Rachel Debon,
Hillary Baum,
Kendra Byers, and
Sarah Latham on defense.
In Game Two, Brock had a hard fought 12-7 loss against the 2016 OUA champions, Trent Excalibur.
The Badgers were able to get on the board first with a goal from
Eryn Brown and quickly followed with a second from
Lindsey Highfield.
The Excalibur made it 5-4 to close the first half and controlled the second half on route to the five-goal victory.
Highfield finished with two goals and one assist, Brown with two goals,
Brittany Schwende added one goal and two assists, while Halliday and Mel McCall each added one goal in the loss.
The Brock Badgers are 5-3 in their regular season and are looking forward to next weekend against the Guelph Gryphons and Western Mustangs at Wilfrid Laurier University Saturday October 7th.
