The Brock University women's rugby team dropped a 34-24 decision to the York Lions in the OUA Quarter-Finals Friday night on the road.
The two teams played an even first half with the score deadlocked 12-12 after 40 minutes.
In the second half, the host Lions jumped out to a 29-12 lead in the opening 20 minutes.The Badgers would answer with a try to make it 29-17. York would add another to go up 34-17 with seven minutes remaining. Brock would look for the comeback adding another try to make it 34-24, but that was as close as they would come ending the 2017 campaign with a 4-1 overall record.

Taylor Knezevich added a convert. The Badgers were without OUA leading scorer
Meagan Hart who suffered an injury in the Badgers last game versus Toronto.
