The Brock University women's hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to the Nipissing Lakers Saturday afternoon at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.

After a scoreless first period, Nipissing got on the board midway through the second, as Brooklyn Irwin recorded her first goal of the season taking a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes. In the third period, the Lakers answered three more times with goals from Sam Strassburger, Robyn Degagne and Marilyn Fortin.

Brock starter Jensen Murphy recorder 26 saves in the loss. Nipissing starter Danika Ranger recorded 27 saves for the shutout victory.

The Badgers next action is Sunday, November 12 at 2:15 PM when they take on the Laurentian Voyageurs at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
