The no 2 ranked Brock University men's basketball team defeated the York lions by the score of 101-72 Friday night at the Tait Mckenzie Centre.

The Badgers led by 11 after one quarter and extended their lead to 53-35 at the half. York outscored Brock 25-19 in the third quarter. Before Brock answered with a 29-12 run to close out the game.

Brock had four players in double figures led by Johneil Simpson who recorded 25 points including going 5-for-7 from beyond the arc. Cassidy Ryan added 24 points while Tyler Brown and Dani Elgadi chipped in with 15 and 11 points respectively.

For the game, Brock shot 54.7% (35-for-64) from the field, 52.6% (10-for-19) from long range and 70.0% (21-for-31) from the free throw line. The Lions went 23-for-54 (42.6%) from the floor, 9-for-19 (47.4%) from three-point land and 17-for-23 (73.9%) from the charity stripe.

The Badgers are in action Saturday night when they are on the road at Queens.
