ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's volleyball team (2-12 OUA) was defeated by the Nipissing Lakers (9-5 OUA) 3-1 Sunday afternoon at the Bob Davis Gymnasium. The scores were (19-25, 12-25, 25-20, 23-25).

The Badgers were led by Timmy Spisar (Brampton, ON) who registered 15 kills and 11 digs in the loss. Calvin Fast (Queenston, ON) contributed 8 kills and 5 digs, and Damon Currie (Carleton Place, ON) finished with 6 kills and 5 digs.

The Lakers attack was lead by Cameron Branch who had 15 kills and 7 digs along with Steven Wood – 13 kills and Mike Ballagh who had a game-high 16 digs.

Brock finished the match with a .245 hitting percentage on 39 kills to go along with 13 errors. The Lakers countered with 54 kills and 13 errors totaling a hitting percentage of .353.

The Badgers now look ahead to Saturday, February 18th where they will host an undefeated McMaster Marauder (13-0 OUA) team. Gametime is at 8pm.
